This weekend I'd go with Cana and Zenden in CM. He probably wasn't fit to start on Saturday but hopefully will be this weekend.

No need to rest him, he's a fit young lad, had a full pre-season and he is offering much more than Malbranque does down the right. Ideally we will have Catts and Cana back in to start the next game in the centre and i agree that if Catts doesn't make it we should start Zenden and leave Henderson down the right

Oh but there is a need. Youngsters being thrown in at the deep end burn out all to often (aka Rooney and Owen) as it gets too much for them week in week out. One season they are expecting to make a few cameo appearances in the first team while playing in the much slower paced reserve leagues on a regular basis allowing them to develop themselves both physically and mentally then instead they are thrust into a first team regular spot and are playing catch up in terms of their progress.

The lad needs a break now before he actually NEEDS one.

The lad is 19. I don't think it's that a big a problem it would be if he was 17 or 18.
When Catt's is back he'll be on the bench again for a while, which won't be any harm. He's needed for the moment so I'd start him.

I agree, at 19 and with a full pre season under his belt there is no need to rest him. And its not as if we are playing in Europe and multiple cup competitions and have to play twice a week regularly. The lad has done enough to be worthy of a starting spot in our team and even when we are fully fit i rate him much more than Malbranque down the right

A very young 19 though, as in he only turned 19 in the summer. Don't get me wrong I think he certainly has a place to contend for in the starting lineup but Bruce should always be keeping the fact that he is developing and not developed in the back of his mind.

Likely to be out for 6 weeks. Will be a loss on the right side. Himself and Hutton showed a bit of promise.

This lad has been the highlight of a disappointing season. We knew he had talent and he has stepped up to the plate and shown he deserves to be a regular.

I'm not having this 'he's young' argument like. By the age of 19 they are old enough to burst onto the scene with regular football and should be able to hold their own. Burnout shouldn't occur for any lad that age unless the weight of expectation is too much (much like Walcott had in his early days). Henderson is doing well but isn't carrying the team, there is no expectation on the lad other than to go out and play with the rest of the lads. Maybe not experienced yet enough to start every game, but worth getting the experience of regular starts and plenty of walk ons.

You actually sort of back up what I said about the burnout Parts. These players need to be protected until their maturity and intelligence catches up with their ability. Henderson has been a great squad player this season while being kept out of the limelight but I do still think he was due a break. It's going to be forced on him now anyway.

Think like James that the lad needs a break but sad to see him carried off.
